BUTTE, Mont. — Two Butte locals received the Montana Ambassadors Entrepreneurs of the Year award for 2020.
The winners are Cassie and Jon Wick, owners of 5518 Designs on Main Street in Butte.
Their new designs focus on highlighting the beauties Montana has to offer.
This month, they celebrated their success with an expansion shop in Anaconda.
Now they’re using their experience to encourage anyone looking to start their own business.
“I feel as though there’s a low barrier of entry to get a business up and running in Butte,” said Jon Wick. “So I would always recommend 100% open that business, give it a try — there’s no better place to do it than here in the Mining City.”
Both Wicks make it a point to know all of their neighbors.
When the M&M building burned to the ground, they were the first to start fundraising efforts.
Jon Wick said this is part of what it means to be an entrepreneur in the Butte community — helping everyone move forward together.
